Pages 74 and 75, finished

My deadline for finishing the drawings for book 3 is July 31. After that I’ll have three weeks to prepare the text and images for publication. I’ll use InDesign for laying out the pages and creating the PDF for Ingramspark. InDesign is a tough slog. I’ve forgotten everything I know about it. I last worked with it in February of 2021 when I completed my the second book in the fabulous “Adventures of Jimmy Jay” series.

Checking in

Today was a big work day. In two weeks my workload will double when two short-term intensive project begin. I’ll have about 70 souls to shepherd through the material. In the meantime I have some medical appointments on the calendar and the fence guys are coming next week. That’s I’m up to. As for my book and future books, they are like lights in the dark. I can’t tell if they’re coming towards me of receding. I haven’t given up on them.

Nothing to show today

Instead of drawing today, I worked with inDesign. I’ve got all of the images inserted, and now I’m synchronizing the story with the images. There are a few clumsy transitions that I may be able to repair by swapping the images around. If that doesn’t work, I’ll have to create new images that follow the text more fluidly.

In other words, I’m approaching the end of this project. Hip, hip, hooray! I say to that.
