Chore Day, Part 2, May 30, 2021

Today’s chores were to irrigate our trees, which we do every week during the summer, and fix the gate on our deck so that the dogs can’t run wild. I also took a nap because I was feeling a little out of it. I thought that maybe my fatigue is a side effect of my second Moderna vaccine shot, but after a 15-minue nap, I was feeling just fine. I don’t think my second dose is having any side effects..

After all those exciting chores, I had a chance to re-color page 20, which is still looking very rough. I’m sure that I’ll give this page more attention next week, when I’m once again a full-time illustrator doing Artsy stuff. Hooray!

Chore day, May 1, 2021: Covid-19 Vaccination and Another Inch

Today I drove to Riteaid for my first Covid-19 vaccination dose. I have the second does in a month. My pharmacy is giving the Moderna vaccine, which has a 94% effectiveness, the same as the Pfizer vaccine. I was warned about side effects, but I’ve had none eight hours later. Perhaps tomorrow I’ll feel something. I’m not concerned about side effects, which are described as muscle aches and a mild fever. Those are trivial compared to the possible side effect of Covid-19 — death.

My inch of art for today is to change the proportions of the jaw and forehead of my giant sleeping moai. The screenshot shows the Clip Studio Paint marching ants.

On the new puppy front, I’m happy to say that our puppy is responding magnificently to training. He has learned to sit, stay, and come. He can do all this at the age of 12 weeks, which is better than I could do at that age.
