Today’s goal was to turn the skinny guy in the reference picture into a chubby kitty cat kicking a soccer ball. I’ll add the ball tomorrow and start working on the Moai goalie leaping athletically to the block the kick. After than I’ll complete the background.

My favorite Clip Studio Paint sketching brush is a sumi brush I downloaded from the Clip Studio Material web site. My second favorite brush is the default Design Pencil.

This is my first sketch of Betty giving the bratty volcano demon a compassionate talking to. One thing I’m going to add — tomorrow — is Betty’s right arm. And that cat looks a little not like a cat. I’ll work on her face…tomorrow.
