I’ve been through all 44 images multiple times and I’m still finding errors: typos, missing words, inconsistent coloring of Betty Burros hair and clothes…that sort of thing. I’m really happy to be correcting these details before I publish.

Thought of the day: An inch of progress everyday eventually amounts to a foot every 12 days! It’s simple arithmetic.

Only 8 More Images to Reformat!

Today I continued my reformatting project. I was able to complete 12 images today. Along the way I edited the text in a few places, and touched up a few images where the color was inappropriate. Only 8 more images and I can get busy with InDesign.

Editing My Proof -- Errors Galore

Today I imported all of my book’s images to InDesign as PNG files rather than PSD files. The idea is that the PNG files are smaller (5mb vs 200mb) and everything works faster. If I find errors, which I did, I can open the Clip Studio Paint file, correct the error and re-export it. It sound like a lot of work, but it’s actually faster than working with gigantic files. Perhaps, for this task, I could use a faster computer, but in reality, I am the slowest member of my creative process.
